Dance class at Power In Motion

Twirling Tots — 45 min

For your little one who’s always dancing around! We keep them moving throughout class, learning the basics of ballet and tap while gaining coordination and getting comfortable in a structured class of their own.

Mini Movers — Ballet/Tap or Tap/Hip Hop — 50 min

This combo class comes in two flavors. Ballet/Tap introduces pre-ballet positions, terminology, and beginner tap. Tap/Hip Hop is for the dancer who loves to move and groove — half tap, half hip-hop, building coordination and rhythm either way.

Beginner Combo 1 — 60 min

Continues building ballet and tap skills while introducing jazz — isolations, stretching, simple dance steps, turns, and leaps.

Beginner Combo 2 — 75 min

Prerequisite: Beginner Combo 1. Dancers spend more time at the barre refining ballet and jazz technique, while tap footwork picks up speed — and dancers start learning real dance terminology along the way.

Beginner Classes — 45–60 min

For dancers seven and up with no prior experience. These classes teach the basics of ballet, tap, and jazz from the ground up.

Dance & Tumbling/Gymnastics (Ages 3+)

Tiny / Tumble & Twirl — 50 min

Gymnastics or dance — why not both? Half the class is spent in the studio learning ballet, jazz, and hip-hop; the other half in the gym working on tumbling, bars, vault, and beam. Barefoot is best — dance shoes aren’t needed.

Dance & Tumble 1 & 2 — 60 min

Splits time between the studio — ballet, jazz, and hip-hop — and the gym, where dancers learn fun acro routines that blend tumbling skills with dance.

Contemporary — 45 min

Dancers work on self-expression and storytelling through movement. Contemporary pulls from traditional styles like ballet and jazz but breaks away from strict technique — classes build through warm-up, leaps, turns, and rolls before ending in choreography.

Hip Hop (Ages 5+)

Little Hoppers — 45/60 min

An energetic style built around popping, locking, and breaking. Dancers start in Little Hoppers or our Beginner Hip Hop class before progressing further.

Hip Hop — 45/60 min

Hip Hop 1 and Hip Hop 2 build on the foundations from Little Hoppers, with placement based on skill and instructor evaluation.

Junior Level — 45–75 min

For dancers with previous experience or who’ve completed our beginner classes. Dancers begin in Junior Combo, then progress into separate classes as they continue building skills in ballet, tap, and jazz.

Intermediate / Advanced — 45–60 min

For dancers with previous experience or who’ve completed our Junior level classes, continuing to build skills in ballet, tap, and jazz. Dancers at this level may be invited to a pre-pointe class by their instructor.
